TIGA ABDUL:PARODI ITU SATIRA

Satira berfungsi mengejek, mencemuh,menyindir dan menegur masyarakat.

Dalam Teori Pengkaedahan Melayu yang diperkenalkan oleh Hashim Awang, terdapat satu pendekatan dalam teori ini yang dipanggil Pendekatan Gunaan. Pendekatan Gunaan melihat kesusasteraan itu sebagai suatu objek atau benda ciptaan yang sama dengan konsep penciptaan objek-objek lain ciptaan Tuhan. Kejadiannya atau penciptaannya itu mempunyai sebab, hikmah, fungsi tujuan, serta ukuran dan imbangannya. Tuhan telah mencipta alam, sementara karya sastera pula terhasil oleh manusia; iaitu pengarang. Pengarang ini pula dapat berbuat demikian kerana mereka mendapat kurniaan bakat dan ilham dari Allah, kerana bukan semua manusia boleh mengarang atau menghasilkan karya sastera yang baik. P.Ramlee ialah seorang ‘pengarang’. Entri kali ini akan menyentuh skrip filem Tiga Abdul (Malay Film Production, 1964). Macam biasa, saya tak akan pukul entri panjang-panjang. Tunggu tesis siap,Insya Allah!

Skrip ini dimulakan oleh narator yang memperkenalkan dirinya sebagai S.Shamsudin Alhaj, dengan memberi latar tempat dan memperkenalkan watak-watak utama. Skrip ini menepati ciri-ciri dan prinsip Pendekatan Gunaan; iaitu sastera mempunyai persamaan sifat dengan kejadian objek-objek alam yang mempunyai sebab, hikmah, dan fungsi tertentu yang boleh dimanfaatkan oleh manusia. Banyak unsur alam terdapat dalam skrip ini dan unsur ini telah disatirakan oleh P. Ramlee bagi menimbulkan komedi. Latar tempat dalam skrip ini disebut oleh narator sebagai ’’Isketambola,dekat-dekat dengan negeri Isketambatu.’’

Isketambola merupakan parodi kepada bandar Istanbul di Turki berdasarkan latar sosiobudaya yang divisualkan menerusi set bandar, pakaian dan juga nama watak utama, iaitu Ismet. Berdasarkan sumber wikipedia, Ismet merupakan satu nama yang agak popular dan mempunyai akar dari Turki. Pemakaian tarbus pada watak-watak lelaki dilihat sama seperti pemakaian tarbus di Turki sebelum era pemerintahan rejim Mustafa Kemal Atarturk (Genc, 2013). Nama marga atau surname watak-watak jelas mengandungi unsur alam Melayu, iaitu Ismet Ulam Raja (adik beradik Ulam Pegaga-punchline dari narator!), Aloyah Kuih Lapis, Hassan Mata Kucing, Hussin Lempoyang dan Jamal Pak Tongko. (Saya pun bila dah dewasa, barulah tahu Pak Tongko tu ialah kuih cakoi. 😉 )

Hal ini memperlihatkan kreativiti P. Ramlee dalam membuat parodi. Walaupun mengambil latar Turki sebelum Reformasi Atarturk, P.Ramlee menerapkan unsur alam Melayu seperti nama tumbuh-tumbuhan dan kuih tradisional dalam skrip Tiga Abdul. Hal ini membuktikan bahawa P.Ramlee menghasilkan karya dengan kesedarannya sebagai seorang Melayu dan konflik-konflik dalam skrip Tiga Abdul juga berlaku dalam masyarakat Melayu. Di sinilah terletaknya kesesuaian Pendekatan Gunaan untuk melihat elemen satira.
