GITAR ELEKTRIK MENJATUHKAN P.RAMLEE?

TOLAK TEPI dahulu kisah zaman P.Ramlee sudah berakhir,kisah beliau diboo dan tak dihargai itu. Itu bab LAIN. Saya cuma tertanya-tanya dengan ayat ‘nyanyian tradisionalnya sudah tidak mampu melawan petikan gitar elektrik…’.
1~Apa maksud ‘nyanyian tradisional’ bagi P.Ramlee?
2~Apakah lagu-lagu P.Ramlee tidak ada yang guna gitar elektrik? Bunyi Gitar,Selamat Pengantin Baru, Entah Di Mana,Senjakala,Mengapa Derita,Dendang Perantau, Ting Tara Tilala, Hati Muda,Pesta Muda Mudi,lagu-lagu dalam filem Anak Bapak…hai,banyak lagilah! P.Ramlee juga masih tidak berhenti mencipta lagu walaupun di zaman meledaknya Pop Yeh Yeh.
3~ Apabila ada pihak minta saya mengulas tentang ‘zaman kejatuhan P.Ramlee’, saya cuba lebih berhati-hati. Maaf jika berbeza pendapat. Saya tak fikir seorang P.Ramlee dijatuhkan hanya kerana fenomena gitar elektrik.
4~P. Ramlee menubuhkan Pancha Sitara tidak sekadar untuk memberi satu gelombang baru kepada lagu Melayu, malah bagi membendung pengaruh muzik pop Barat seperti kegilaan terhadap The Beatles dan The Platters, kemudian diikuti demam pop yeh-yeh. P Ramle pernah berkata, muzik pop begitu hanya mementingkan bunyi yang kuat dari mutu lagu itu sendiri (dipetik dari FB Repair Gambar Lama).
5~Menurut Nasir P. Ramlee dalam buku Bapaku P. Ramlee (MPH, 2007), beliau pernah bermain dengan kumpulan Ben Puteh 5 Merdu yang ditubuhkan oleh P. Ramlee. Tetapi beliau kurang selesa dan tidak bertahan lama dalam kumpulan tersebut. Antara faktornya ialah faktor usia dan faktor repertoire. Ahli-ahli kumpulan tersebut lebih berusia darinya dan mereka lebih banyak memainkan lagu-lagu lama dan malar segar. Sedangkan Nasir yang masih muda ketika itu lebih gemar memainkan lagu-lagu disko yang bingit bunyinya.
6~ Fenomena ‘muzik bingit’ yang melanda dunia pada tahun 1960-an itulah yang menyebabkan muzik P. Ramlee dikatakan kurang diminati. Namun fenomena ini hanya bersifat sementara. Akhirnya masyarakat kembali mendengar lagu-lagu klasik dan malar segar. Lagu-lagu ciptaan P. Ramlee lebih diingati berbanding lagu-lagu ‘bingit’ zaman itu.
